About Hughes Service

History
Hughes Electrical was founded in Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1921 by Frank Hughes who trained as an electrical engineer after having served in the cavalry throughout the Great War. In 1928 Frank bought his first shop in which he built and sold radios and the family literally lived over it for many years. Frank retired in 1946 and his sons Peter and Jim took over the management of the business.

Hughes were quick to introduce new technologies such as televisions and labour saving kitchen appliances and by renting these products they became affordable for the typical household in the post war austerity years. Geographic expansion soon followed and by the end of the century Hughes had over 30 shops and 5 service centres located throughout East Anglia.

Today 
Expansion has continued Hughes is now one of the country’s largest electrical retailers and 2nd largest renter of home entertainment and kitchen appliances. Its Hughes Direct website was voted by the readers of the which? magazine in 2010 to be the 2nd best electrical website. Hughes has also expanded its retail footprint into the Midlands and the North West with the acquisition of Apollo 2000 giving expertise in the sale of kitchen appliances from large out of town sites.

Delivery

Our standard offer is for free delivery within 4 to 5 days. We will offer an Expediated service for a small charge, if this is selected your order will be dispatched within 2 working days. You will receive an email once your goods are dispatched to confirm the actual delivery date.

Prices quoted are subject to stock availability. It is your responsibility to check your goods upon delivery for shortages or damage and to make a note of such on the carriers consignment note when you sign for the goods. If this is not done we are unable to take the matter up with the delivery company. If the delivery is not completed on the agreed date as a result of no one being available at the delivery address a delivery charge maybe be applied.

Additional security checks may be carried out before your delivery date to ensure our customers are protected from on-line fraud. You may, therefore, be contacted before your delivery so these checks can be carried out.

Returns

You have the right to cancel your order within seven working days following the day after delivery and return the goods supplied to us for a full refund. You must notify us in writing during this period of your intention to cancel by either:

Should you wish to cancel your order, any goods supplied must be returned to Hughes Direct, Inspections Dept, 3 Fison Way, Thetford, Norfolk, IP24 1HT, at your own expense within 7 days of your notice to cancel. Providing the goods are returned with all accessories including any free gifts you will receive a full refund, within 30 days of giving us your notice to cancel. We are unable to accept back goods for a credit if they are unwanted gifts or non-faulty items 7 days after the delivery date.

Prices
All prices include VAT. No contract is created until we have accepted your order. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers we will not process your order and will instead alert you immediately to the actual price of the goods. You will then have the option to proceed at this updated price. We will only process any such order with your explicit authority.

Products
Product images, descriptions and specifications are shown for guidance only. Some products may require set-up and/or assembly; for example TV’s, videos and Hi-fi tuners may need manually tuning. TV stands/cabinet stands may need assembly.

Payment
Payment will need to be made in full before the order is processed. A contract between us is not formed until we have processed the transaction and started the dispatch process. We accept payment by PayPal.

Guarantee
All brand new products are supplied guaranteed for a minimum period of one year following the date of delivery. If the product is refurbished, repaired or ex-display the guarantee will be quoted on the listing.

I am selling a D90 18-105 VR Kit. Which is as new with all boxes and instructions and leads with neckstrap.

I have only used it on about 5 occasions, so it is in pristine condition.


 


There are no scratches or marks and the LCD screen has a plastic clip on protector.


You must know what it is capable of or you wouldn’t be looking.


 


It comes packed in original box with charger, TV connector and software disk and manual.


Reason for sale is that I never use it but use my compact camera,


 


Included extra is a carry case and small remote control in the pouch of the carry case.


 


This camera takes fantastic photographs and video’s.


 


It also comes with a 32 GB sd card.
