Q: How does delivery work?
A: Your purchase is sent securely by our courier service and when it arrives you simply sign for it.
Q: Where do you deliver to?
A: We deliver to mainland UK and Northern Ireland addresses. We also do not deliver to the Isles of Scilly, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and Scottish Islands, BFPO addresses, or the Republic of Ireland.
Q: How long does delivery take?
For large Items like a big TV or a washing machine
After you’ve ordered we will call you to confirm a delivery slot. We can deliver seven days a week to most areas, so you can choose the most convenient day for you. We’ll give you a ring when we’re on the way and let you know an hour before when we’ll be with you.
Then we’ll carry the item to any room you want, unpack it and take away all the packaging for recycling. If you think we might have some difficulty delivering a large product. Getting a USA fridge freezer up a few flights of stairs can be challenging. Just let us know in the comments section and we’ll call you for more details.
We also offer installation and recycling for lots of products. You can arrange to have these services done at the same time as your delivery, just call us on 08712 009 009.
For smaller items like a little TV or a camera
If it’s something smaller most deliveries will be handled by Parcel Force and will require a signature. There are some occasions where your product might be delivered by Royal mail – if it’s a game for instance.
This affects areas of Scotland and the Isle of Wight and there is a chance delivery could take an extra day. Whether your item is big or small, eBay will send you an email when your item has been dispatched. Sometimes delivery factors will be affected by things outside of our control but we will do our very best to let you know in advance if that happens.
Q: What happens if I’m not home when delivery is attempted?
A: Our courier will leave a card to let you know they have tried to deliver your product. Specific re-delivery instructions will be printed on that card. You may also have the option of visiting the courier service to pick up your item.
Q: Deliveries over Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays
A: At really busy times we do everything we can to deliver your product within the times we have agreed but it may take a little longer.

If you’re having a problem with your purchase, eBay encourages Buyers and Sellers to resolve issues without opening an eBay Dispute Case and before leaving feedback.
What first?
As a seller we’re able to provide technical advice and we have knowledge of all the products available on the eBay store. In the first instance please refer to the manufacturers instructions and help guides. We recommend calling our UK call centre us on 08712 009 009 to see if the problem with the product can be resolved.
What next?
If your product is faulty please let us know as soon as you can. Our retail stores can provide technical support or refund any product purchased through the eBay store. Please get in touch with us directly via the ‘contact us’ section of our eBay store, product listing or through our UK call centre on 08712 009 009.
If your product is faulty
Our products marked as “new” have a 12 month warranty. If your product develops a fault within that 12 month period call our UK call centre on 08712 009 009 and we will make the necessary arrangements. You may also be offered a refund or exchange in the unlikely event that the product cannot be fixed.
Cancelling your order
You can cancel your order up to seven days after delivery, as long as you’ve not used it, you can still cancel your order up to seven working days from the day it arrived.
You can return the product to a Comet store for a full refund as long as it is in the same condition as it was when delivered. If it’s something big like a dishwasher or a fridge just call our UK call centre on 08712 009 009 and we’ll get it picked up – but there will be a charge for this.
Changing your mind (after seven days)
If your product is brand new, unused and the box is unopened just take it back to a Comet store with your eBay confirmation within 28 days (14 days for a computer). We’ll give you a full refund. If the product’s too big to bring back yourself give our UK call centre a ring on 08712 009 009 and we’ll have it collected, though there will be a charge.
If you’ve opened the box, as long as you’ve not actually used the product, the process is the same. But if the item costs £25 or more, there’s a restocking fee of 10% of the original price up to a maximum of £99. This pays for repackaging and restocking. It really helps us if you bring all the original packaging back with your order.
One more thing. If anything’s missing – like the remote control, leads or manuals – we can’t take your order back. So make sure you hang on to everything that came with it.
There are certain types of Goods that you won’t be able to cancel. These include:
Goods made to Your personal requirements;
DVDs, CDs, computer/console games, software or memory cards where the seal has been broken;
Personal hygiene products where the seal has been broken, such as electric razors.
How do I return the product?
Use the ‘contact us’ section of our eBay store to arrange for the item to be returned. We will reply within 24 hours (Our lines are open Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 8pm, Saturday: 8.30am to 6pm and Sunday: 10am to 5pm) with details of the return procedure and documentation for enclosure with the returns parcel.
Refunds
Your PayPal account will be refunded once we have received and inspected your returned item. In order to prevent any potential retail fraud, products must be received for Sellers to have visibility of the returned item before refunds are given. We will email you once the item has been processed and inspected and your refund will be processed within 48 hours. Please note that it can take up to 5 days for a refund to appear in your PayPal account.
